A leading global commodity trading firm is seeking a Senior Technologist with deep expertise in Power & Gas to take a key role in their front-office technology team in Houston, TX. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll lead local development initiatives, partner closely with Traders, Risk, and Middle Office, and shape the future of commodity trading technology.

🔧 What You’ll Do:

• Lead and contribute to hands-on development of cutting-edge systems
• Act as the local technical lead, mentoring team members and guiding architecture decisions
• Collaborate with front-office users to design and deliver smart, scalable solutions
• Champion modern DevOps, cloud, and full-stack best practices
• Push boundaries with innovative thinking and continuous improvement

💼 What You Bring:

• 7–10 years of enterprise software development (preferably in C#)
• Strong SQL and RDBMS experience
• Proven full-stack development using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React)
• Experience with real-time messaging, microservices, and service-oriented architecture
• Expertise in REST, JSON, Protobuf, Kafka
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) in hybrid enterprise environments
• Prior experience in the commodities or energy trading space is highly valued
