Trading Product Technical Writer

Location: New Jersey (NOT REMOTE)

Contract Duration: June 2, 2025 – October 31, 2025

Hourly Rate: $40-45/Hour USD

Your New Role

As a Trading Product Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation for technical applications supporting trading desks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to capture, interpret, and articulate technical and functional requirements for both in-house and vendor-based systems. This is a contract position from June 2, 2025, to October 31, 2025, located in New Jersey.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in a sell-side brokerage firm and 3+ years in technical writing within financial services.
• Documentation Skills: Expertise in drafting, reviewing, and editing a wide range of technical documents, including business requirements, project scopes, technical specifications, and process documentation.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Organization: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work both independently and within collaborative, matrixed teams.
• Analytical Thinking: Adept at reconciling conflicting information, abstracting details, and distinguishing user requests from true business needs.
• Compliance: Understanding of company policies, legal regulations, and compliance requirements as they pertain to documentation.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of technical terms relevant to trading systems and financial applications.
