Kforce is working with a well-known, growing Investment firm in search of a Trading Applications Engineer to join their team in New York and San Francisco! This position is full time, direct hire and on-site (4 days onsite per week). The Trading Application Support Engineer will provide critical technical support to the trading desk and back-office operations specializing in bond/loan trading.
Responsibilities:
* Provide timely day-to-day support for the trading platform and Business-to-Business integrations
* Work with business users (Traders, PMs, Operations, Analysts, Finance/Compliance professionals, etc.) and perform requirements analysis, application design, and implementation
* Ensure a high standard of SDLC with a focus on automated testing/regression
* Create and maintain professional-level internal knowledge base
* Provide training to business users and new joiners
* Align and add to the culture and overall vision/mission of the team* 3+ years or the equivalent of working in the financial industry with a deep understanding or strong potential to pick up financial securities, especially bonds and loans
* Experience with Python programming
* Experience maintaining and integrating new work into existing codebases
* Experience with Linux (commands, diagnostics, resolving issues)
* Experience working with Microsoft SSIS and SSRS
* Experience with XML/XPath/XSLT
* Experience with a Trading system; Like Blackrock Aladdin, Charles River
* Experience with portfolio accounting systems like Geneva
* Strong track record of hands-on SQL Server T-SQL
* Possess a strong understanding of financial instruments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* A natural team player, able to collaborate seamlessly to understand and meet requirements
* Able to connect the dots and be proactive toward improving the day-to-day support function
* Must have excellent programming and data management skills, strong verbal/written communication skills
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; Detail-oriented

* Have an "Own it!" mindset
* Active Batch, Control-M, Autosys scheduling
* Knowledge of HTTP and web API design
* Prior experience with Everest is strongly desired but not a hard requirement
