Summary
Edge Autonomy is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Trade Show Event Planner II to join our marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing trade shows and events that enhance our brand presence and drive lead generation. In addition to trade show coordination, this role will also be responsible for managing company-wide travel arrangements to ensure seamless logistics for employees across departments. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that each event and travel plan aligns with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Event Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive event plans for trade shows, including logistics, timelines, and budgets.
- Vendor Management: Identify and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure services and resources needed for successful events.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to create promotional materials and digital content to generate excitement and drive attendance.
- On-Site Management: Oversee all aspects of trade shows and events on-site, including booth setup, staff coordination, and attendee engagement.
- Lead Generation: Implement effective strategies for capturing leads at events and ensure timely follow-up to maximize business opportunities.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage event budgets, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines and reporting on expenditures.
- Performance Evaluation: Analyze event performance metrics, gather feedback, and prepare post-event reports to evaluate success and inform future strategies.
- Industry Research: Stay updated on industry trends and competitor participation to identify new opportunities for Edge Autonomy's involvement in relevant trade shows and events. Follow safety protocols and adhere to relevant regulations and standards during the execution of electrical engineering tasks.
- Travel Planning: Serve as the primary point of contact for travel planning, including booking flights, hotels, transportation and itineraries for employees company-wide, ensuring cost-effective and efficient arrangements that align with company policy.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and adhere to relevant regulations and standards during the execution of event and travel-related duties.
Required Qualifications
The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning or trade show management, preferably in the technology or defense sectors.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with vendors and attendees.
- Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools.
- Ability to travel for events as needed for the purpose of exhibit management, onsite personnel coordination, and for the opportunity to enhance your knowledge of industry and display trends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the aerospace, defense, or technology industries is a plus.
- Experience with digital marketing strategies and social media promotion for events.
- Experience coordinating and booking domestic and international travel arrangements, including flights, lodging, accommodations and transportation.
