Summary

Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week (occasional evenings and weekends will be necessary for trainings and special events). Funding period will be through May 31, 2027. The TPPI (Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative) Program is an intensive multi-component program aimed at increasing student's knowledge, skills, and confidence regarding sexual health and decision making. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate grant deliverables, teach an evidence-based sexual health curriculum and facilitate positive youth development activities at Kannapolis Middle School. Primary Responsibilities: * Manages overall grant operations, planning, and implementation of program * Assesses needs and ensures that program deliverables and goals are met * Facilitates evidence-based curricula at partner schools with full fidelity * Coordinates evaluation process with grant funder and partner schools * Develops a media campaign, creating a youth-friendly services toolkit, or providing peer education * Oversees and facilitates positive youth development programs * Co-leads Community Advisory Council (CAC) with AP2 Program Coordinator Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Education or related field and 2 years of experience in a similar or related field. License: Current North Carolina driver's license Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of sexual health education and pregnancy prevention methods * Considerable knowledge of community resources and organizations * Must be proficient in developing, planning, and implementing prevention and grant programs * Ability to prepare educational information * Possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships * Must be extremely flexible, work independently, work as part of a team and possess good decision-making skills Our Mission To improve individual and community health through services, education, and collaborative action.
