Overall Scope
Perform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Supervisor to successfully operate the assigned multi-spindle Tornos Screw Lathe Machine to manufacture Fuel Injector internal components. Safely produce parts in accordance with work instructions and quality standards
Hours:2nd shift
Primary work hours are between 5:30p - 4:00a Monday- Thursday. Over time as needed
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience with manual or horizontal Lathes
- Able to use measuring devices such as calipers, snap gauging, split bores, etc.
- Experience with tolerances less than 1mm
- Know how to use tools such as wrenches, screw drivers, hammers, etc.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Operate machines to safety produce component parts to production and quality targets.
- Perform hourly in-process inspections.
- Make manual machine adjustments as necessary to maintain product conformance.
- Track quality using various run charts.
- Segregate non-conforming product.
- Acquire consumables from plant stores.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, including disposing of machine chips and bar waste.
- Maintain machine coolant levels
- Perform tooling changes and dial machine back in. Up to 16 different tools per machine.
- Communicate to Process or Cell Technician and Leadership as necessary.
- Perform work by SOPs and safety rules.
Ergonomic Focus
- Working machine station.
- Making adjustments to switches and dials.
- Using various measuring devices.
- Lifting up to 20 lbs. frequently
- Standing/walking/sitting during a 10-hour work shift
