Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Irvine, CA for a Tool Room Machinist. The Tool Room Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various machinery, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders. Daily tasks include fabricating, assembling, and repairing a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other precision parts. The role also involves reading and interpreting engineering drawings, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.

Qualifications

• Experience with machine tools, precision measuring instruments, and hand tools
• Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of metal properties, layout, and machining procedures
• Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is a plus
• Experience in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment is preferred
