DESCRIPTION Under general supervision, the Tissue Bank Supervisor provides coordination and technical support for the Tissue Services division at Lifesharing. This position will serve as supervisor of the tissue triage department. Responsible for the hiring, performance evaluation, corrective or disciplinary action, up to dismissal. Duties include oversight of screening and triaging potential donors to determine medical suitability and eligibility according to protocols established by Lifesharing. Reviews and completes donor medical records. Assist with Lifesharing professional and public education. Acts as Administrator-on-Call providing supervision and guidance to the on-call staff for determining suitability of donors and timing of recoveries. Ensures call schedule is completed timely and provides adequate coverage. Assists with data review and department training for new employees, annual and ongoing training. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Seven (7) years of experience in organ and/or tissue donation OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience. * Experience and proven success in lab and operating room procedures, processes, & equipment. * Experience in approaching families for organ, tissue, and eye donation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS). SPECIAL CONDITIONS * Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. * Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $69,500 - $123,500 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $33.29 - $59.15 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
