The role

We are seeking a Timber Machine Operator to join our team in Richmond.  This is a varied role operating spindle moulders, thickness planers and basic profiling machines to manufacture timber products including exterior cladding, interior linings, flooring, and scotia/ceiling trims.  

Key Tasks Include

  •  Machinery set up for different timber/order specifications, feeding timber and stacking
  • Accurately measuring and cutting timber to size, filleting timber for kiln drying
  • Forklift operation

Qualities, Skills And Experience

This role will suit someone with experience in operating timber moulding machinery who is keen to learn new skills. Being able to interpret drawings, calculate measurements accurately and have an eye for detail will set you up for a success in the role. F endorsement and OSH certificate are also required (if your endorsement/certification has lapsed we can support you to renew these). Due to the nature of working with timber, being physically capable of working with timber up to 20kgs is required.

The hours of work are 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
