Third Shift Optical Lab Manager

Dr. Tavel Optical Group is a family-owned and operated company with 24 locations across Indiana. For over 80 years, we have offered our customers fashionably affordable, insurance-friendly designer eyewear at prices lower than our competitors.

We are currently seeking a Third Shift Optical Lab Manager for our state-of-the-art optical lab. The schedule for this role will be: Sunday – Thursday: 10 pm – 8:30 am. This position is responsible for producing high-quality eyewear that meets all company standards and for maintaining lab equipment in accordance with company guidelines. While previous optical experience is preferred, we offer comprehensive on-the-job training for candidates who are eager to learn.

Role

As a Third Shift Optical Lab Manager, you will gain experience in various aspects of optical lab work and play a key role in maintaining workflow by supporting areas that need the most attention. You will be trained to:

• Operate specialized machinery used in the production of optical lenses.
• Assemble quality eyewear to meet high company standards.
• Utilize lab software to manage and release work to the lab.
• Handle frame and lens inventory.
  
  

This is a salaried, full-time position that includes a full benefits package. Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
