Job Title: Tester & Validation Engineer

Location: Koramangala, Bengaluru, India (Work from Office)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM

About the Role:

Are you detail-oriented with a passion for testing/validation (Documentation) in automotive? We're searching for a skilled Test & Validation Engineer to join our Bangalore team. This is your chance to work on impactful projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance specifications for the “Data Collect” application across multiple TCU generations.
• Work closely with development teams to address technical inquiries.
• Collaborate with embedded design teams (Big Data, infrastructure, CAN messaging, MQTT etc.) to identify and integrate updates into future spec versions.
• Bridge communication between connected/offboard data teams and onboard engineering to ensure smooth requirement integration.
• Analyze B2B/B2C customer feedback related to "Data Collect" to improve functionality and user experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to interact with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, particularly useful for testing, scripting, and automation tasks.
• Strong understanding of MQTT/CAN (Controller Area Network) architectures.
• Ability to read and interpret CAN frames.
• Strong writing and speaking skills for producing and updating technical documentation and summaries.
• Proven experience in testing and validation of embedded systems or automotive applications.

Key Skills:

• Telematics & Connectivity Systems: In-depth understanding of automotive telematics, data collection frameworks, and TCU (Telematics Control Unit) architecture across multiple generations.
• CAN / MQTT Protocol Expertise: Proficient in CAN / MQTT (Controller Area Network) protocols, with hands-on experience reading, interpreting, and working with CAN frames and messaging systems.
• Specification Development: Strong ability to write, maintain, and evolve functional and technical specifications for embedded applications.
• Embedded Systems: Knowledge of embedded system design and integration, especially in an automotive environment.
• System Testing & Validation: Experience with testing methodologies and validation processes for automotive or embedded software applications.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in C, C++, and Python, with the ability to support testing, validation, and development activities when required.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with various teams including Big Data, infrastructure, CAN messaging, and both onboard/offboard data teams.
• Customer-Centric Analysis: Skill in analyzing B2B/B2C customer feedback and translating insights into product and specification improvements.
• Technical Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for drafting technical documentation, summaries, and reports.
• Tools & Platforms: Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Vector CANoe, or equivalent automotive/engineering platforms.
• Proven experience in testing and validation of embedded systems or automotive applications.
