Summary

Under the direction of the group leader and with general supervision, test and troubleshoot various electronic assemblies. Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, assembly routing sheets, wire lists, process specs and verbal instructions. Use varied production test equipment, in house designed test sets, thermal chambers, vibration equipment, centrifuge, multimeters, megometers, oscilloscopes and computer controlled test equipment. Perform complicated electronic testing. This includes bench testing, in process testing, sub assembly testing, customer level final acceptance testing, lot acceptance and leak testing. Assist project engineering department in modifying test processes. Interpret test data and any unusual performance variations. Perform general assembly tasks which may include printed wire board assembly, conformal coat touch up, potting touch up, ultrasonic cleaning, evacuation and backfill, wire wrap and component forming. Attain and maintain electrostatic discharge, explosive handling, general wire and printed wire board soldering certifications as required by program or process. Remain flexible and willing to work in various work cells depending upon company need. Support company initiatives including ISO 9000 and statistical process control (SPC) ensuring continuous improvement of policies, procedures and products. Document and record results of completed testing and repairs products. Assess the level of repair and determine the cause of system failures. Take appropriate action to repair components and to ensure proper operation of equipment. Report unusual circumstances or conditions to supervision as required. Attain security clearance as required. Knowledgeable with the use of personal computers and associated software such as word processing and spreadsheets as required. Experience - Over 1 year up to and including 3 years Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions. Simple use of formulas, charts, tables and various types of measuring instruments; where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.
