Summary

Our esteemed client, a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, is seeking a seasoned Test Systems Product Safety Engineer. This pivotal role involves identifying and managing product safety requirements from comprehensive hazard and risk assessments. Contribute to the safety and reliability of critical systems.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate Effectively: Align with Project Safety Management Plans to integrate and execute safety protocols.
  • Drive Safe Design Development: Lead the creation of logical safety arguments and comprehensive Safety Case reports.
  • Facilitate Hazard Identification: Organise and lead hazard identification meetings, maintaining an accurate project hazard log.
  • Ensure Robust Safety Cases: Conduct peer reviews and verification tasks to validate the Safety Case and its documentation.



Requirements:

  • In-depth understanding of engineering safety management processes, including hazard analysis and safety case reports.
  • Solid grasp of safety principles within systems engineering.
  • Proven experience in creating detailed justification reports.
  • Strong knowledge of Safety Engineering principles and practices.


Desirable:

  • Familiarity with systems engineering tools and techniques (e.g., DOORS, Enterprise Architect).
  • Experience in a defence or complex systems environment involving software products.
  • Knowledge of JIRA.
