Test Rig Software & Integration Engineer

About The Role

We are currently seeking a motivated Test Rig Software and Integration Engineer to join our team. By joining us, you’ll be part of a leading company that is shaping the future of hybrid transmission technology.

Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the software (LabView/Veristand) on test rigs which runs on hardware from National Instruments.
• You will be working on new implementation and improvement of the automation tool (Python) to increase testing robustness in test center.
• Your responsibility will be integrating new software and hardware into the test center’s existing framework. This involves preventing information gaps and issues by analyzing requirements from product developments.
• Collaborating closely with colleagues, your role will involve advising and developing software, with a particular focus on test bench integration, communication and automation (CAN-network and Python).
• Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs by setting and using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
• You will be working in the R&D Test Center department in Sint-Truiden where automatic transmissions, hybrid and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.
  
  

Qualifications

• Engineering degree that shows interest for mechatronic systems with focus on software
• Knowledge in LabView/Veristand (National Instruments) and Python
• Knowledge in Matlab Simulink is an asset
• Basic knowledge of control theory is an asset.
• Knowledge of automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment, electro mechanics is an asset
• Thanks to your structured way of working together with clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are proficient in convincing others of optimal choices and reporting knowledge and results
• You have strong problem solving skills and are familiar with related methods
• You are a strong team player that strives for the optimal compromise in a versatile and international community
