SCYTALYS is currently looking for passionate Test & Integration Engineers willing to work in agile teams to develop high quality products and applications which will bring value to our local and international customers.
The successful candidates will join our team (based in Athens) and work closely with developers, product owners, project leads, delivery teams and other stakeholders, executing component integration (both software and hardware), test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution, system installation and configuration, on-site & factory acceptance testing and end-user training.
The ideal candidates will:
- Performs detailed analyses of task(s) requirements
- Analyse user stories, software and system requirements for testability
- Define the appropriate test cases required to verify the correct implementation of the user stories, software and system requirements
- Writes test documentation in accordance with the Company’s Engineering Documentation Standards
- Test and debug system (standalone test environment) with predefined test cases and verify predicted performance, memory, processor and other requirements identified as requirements for the software
- Execute test cases, detecting and reporting defects, analysing abnormal system behaviour to identify the root cause
- Participate in formal reviews and other verification/acceptance activities, and troubleshooting operational and customer reported issues
- Advises Company management regarding perceived and/or recognized problems with performance of designed software and/or system development
- Supports installation and check-out on-site and hotline service or warranty/upgrade works at the installed systems
- Should the need arise, works towards their team’s goals carrying out tasks that may befall outside their field of expertise as best as they can
Skills and Experience:
- BSc or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
- Good knowledge and experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software systems testing within a well-established test process environment
- Good interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team
- Good knowledge of Computer networking (IP networking and basic IP protocols such as TCP, UDP, ICMP etc)
- Ability to analyze and evaluate technical specifications, identify verification requirements (testable features) and provide the test design and implementation artifacts (test plans and procedures)
- Ability to execute specified test cases and perform effective exploratory testing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient time management and organization skills to complete work based on priorities and schedule
