Summary

The Failure Analysis Team's mission is to determine root cause and contributing factors to improve the experience of Tesla's products by reducing field issues, in collaboration with large cross-section of other engineering teams. Engineers and Technicians on the team are responsible for a wide variety of vehicle and energy product systems for existing models and models in development. This extremely high visibility individual contributor role requires extensive hands-on work who will take initiative. * Build and operate automated test equipment such as test PCBAs, harnesses and fixtures to make functional testing more efficient and repeatable * Utilize existing company-wide test infrastructure to new products and parts * Perform data analysis on test results and present findings to requesting engineers * Support day-day operations of staff performing high volume part testing * 1-3 years in a hands-on lab or testing environment * Experience building test harnesses and fixtures * Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, DAQs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, curve tracer, and function generators), instrumentation, multiplexers, and measurement techniques * Experience with Windows and Linux is preferred * Experience with 3D CAD preferred * Ability to lift 30 lbs.
