We have an excellent opportunity for an Equipment Test Engineer to join a world leading company specialised in developing products for the pharmaceutical and medical industries.
(This position is to be part of the Engineering and manufacturing department and is NOT a software test/automation related position)
As part of the Engineering team, the Test Engineer will be responsible for:
Looking after projects from an initial brief by liaising with customers during the process
Qualify bespoke products to customer specifications
Provide technical product support to Customers and colleagues within Sales and other internal departments, recommending appropriate solutions where required.
Prepare laboratory tests using approved process, equipment and materials
Writing of technical documentation to required standards; to include:
Engineering Memos
Qualification Protocols and Reports
Performance Summaries
Assembly Posters.
Maintaining documentation using change control system
Maintaining the workplace to be of a high level of cleanliness and order
Responsible for the calibration of all equipment used for testing and evaluation of the results.
Responsible for the upkeep of technical documentation.
Creating 3D CAD models of packaging components and system assemblies
Creating 2D Technical Drawings to required standard from 3D CAD models
Creating animations using CAD software from 3D CAD models
Transfer 3D CAD models to thermal simulation software, setup and run simulations.
Performs required measurements, interpret, evaluate and reports results.
Experience And Skills Required
Previous experience in a similar engineering position within a manufacturing or engineering environment, or Engineering degree/HND/HNC qualification accompanied by excellent customer service and liaising experience
Must have previous experience in 2D/3D CAD Technical Drawing (Solidworks would be an advantage, however, any other design software experience would be considered, as full training would be provided)
Thermal simulation software experience would be an advantage, however not essential.
Excellent analytical, organizational, negotiation and communication skills.
Must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple projects simultaneously within set
Must have excellent verbal, written, maths and presentation skills, with great attention to detail.
Must be able to interact effectively and diplomatically with all company personnel and customers under minimum supervision and be responsive to the requirements of department members and other departments with whom interaction is necessary.
