Job Title: Test Engineer
Job Description
As a Test Engineer, you will assist in training and providing work direction to engineering technicians as needed. You will be independently responsible for conducting product evaluation tests in accordance with engineering specifications, as well as maintaining test equipment to accomplish required tests.
Responsibilities
* Conduct product evaluation tests per engineering test procedures using basic test apparatus available and/or by instrumenting vehicles for data collection.
* Build suitable test fixtures and setups for detailed experimental testing under limited supervision of the Test Engineer.
* Assemble subassemblies for prototype testing from schematics, rough sketches, and verbal instructions.
* Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
* Troubleshoot test systems to determine cause and remedy for malfunctions.
* Perform calibration checks with instruments.
* Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble vehicle components and systems as required.
Essential Skills
* 5-10 years of experience working within thermal testing.
* Experience with testing techniques such as Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermomechanical Analysis (TMA), and Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Associate's Degree or above.
* Experience with Labview.
* Experience with HEAD acoustics for measuring and analyzing sound and vibration.
Work Environment
This role operates in both office and laboratory settings, offering a supportive and dynamic work environment. The position is a day shift role with flexible start times between 7am and 4pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.86/hr.
