We are looking for an Automation Test Engineer who can independently perform functional automation testing, performance testing, and Section 508 testing. Responsibilities Analyze customer needs and develop automated software solutions in an Agile/DevOps environment Independently develop code using networking protocols, create end-user scenarios, and execute tests to verify system functionality, performance, and Section 508 compliance Review customer needs and software requirements to determine optimal test design based on resource constraints Provide highly specialized testing of complex systems Simultaneously plan, manage and provide technical oversight for testing activities. Ensure that tested components are compliant with standards and requirements Communicate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, operational staff, and others to test system capabilities Modify existing automation software to correct errors and allow it to adapt to changing requirements Maintain all artifacts in a version-controlled repository using GitLab/Git/GitHub or a similar tool Communicate directly with customer staff orally and in writing to plan and report progress Independently develop automation test suites for Functional, Performance, and Section 508 Independently develop automated scripts using software languages such as Java, C Independently validate the accuracy of scripts Independently develop test scenarios Qualifications - Required U.S. Citizen Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field Minimum 2 years of IT experience 2+ years of IT experience as a Functional, Automation, and Performance Test Engineer (in all test areas, not just one of them) 1+ years' experience conducting automation testing using Selenium and Java 6+ months experience with TestNG/Junit, Cobertura/Jacoco, Axe Monitor, CI/CD Promotion, GitLab/Jenkins 6+ months experience in Jira, ALM 6+ months experience with LoadRunner Performance Testing 1+ years' experience with one or more development methodologies such as Agile, Agile-Hybrid, DevSecOps, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Rapid Application Development (RAD), and TDD Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Qualifications - Highly Desired 1+ years' experience with creating automated test scripts and end-to-end scenarios 1+ years' experience analyzing test results to isolate root causes for functional and performance problems 6+ months experience working on Federal projects (resume should show name of US federal department or agency) 6+ months experience with SQL Compensation $77,000 to $83,000/yr, based on capability and experience Other Hours: Full Time About BUSINESS PERFORMANCE SYSTEMS Business Performance Systems is a successful, well-established small business composed of skilled consultants supporting high-priority government projects.
