We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to develop and support automated testing of our products, with responsibilities spanning design validation, regulatory compliance, and production testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in design reviews and ensure implementation of DFT requirements
- Design, build, commission, run, and maintain engineering and manufacturing ATE stations, including hardware, software, reports, and documentation
- Develop test plans and automated test sequences to verify product compliance with specifications and industry standards (e.g., FCC, ISED)
- Coordinate and execute compliance testing at external certification labs, and prepare all required reports and documentation to support regulatory approvals
- Support troubleshooting activities and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers and test equipment suppliers
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSEE or related degree, with 5+ years of recent, hands-on experience
- P.Eng. license is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand is essential
- Experience with RF performance testing and a strong understanding of RF fundamentals, parametric measurements, and digital modulation techniques
- Demonstrated competence with standard RF and general-purpose test equipment
- Familiarity with telecommunication systems and IP networking is beneficial
- Ability to read schematics and C code is a must; working knowledge of PCB CAD tools is an asset
- Critical thinking and strong troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able to multitask, adapt to shifting priorities, and deliver results under tight deadlines
- Methodical team player with a strong interest in learning and applying new technologies
