POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Test Data Engineer with 5+ years in data management, QA, and application development. Proficient in SQL scripting (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript. Skilled in Agile environments, managing complex projects, and delivering quality solutions under tight deadlines. Hands-on with TDM tools (IBM Optim, Delphix, CA TDM), data masking, and compliance with PII/PCI/PHI standards. Strong background in data movement across on-prem/cloud systems, API development, and CI/CD pipelines.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILL SETS

• 5+ years Data Management, Application Development or Quality Assurance experience with an extensive knowledge of complex SQL scripting and database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, and/or DB2
• Experience with multiple scripting languages (JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile methodology
• Ability to multi-task and participate in multiple large and complex efforts or projects
• Proactive, self-motivated and independent with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
• 3+ years hands-on TDM experience with exposure to industry standard TDM tools such as IBM Optim, Delphix or Broadcom CA TDM
• Experience managing data movement between multiple systems, including between on-prem and cloud-based applications
• Knowledge of sensitive data categories including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Payment Card Industry (PCI), and Protected Health Information (PHI), along with experience with test data masking/obfuscation/profiling/integration methods
• Experience implementing innovative Test Data Management solutions and strategies
• Experience working with cloud services
• Experience using and building APIs
• CI/CD experienced

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and manage test data solutions to support software testing across multiple environments. Celebrating 12 Glorious Years!
• Create and maintain complex SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
• Leverage Test Data Management (TDM) tools like IBM Optim, Delphix, or Broadcom CA TDM for data subsetting, masking, and provisioning.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and development teams in Agile environments to understand testing needs and deliver timely data solutions.
• Implement and manage test data strategies that align with regulatory compliance for PII, PCI, and PHI data.
• Facilitate data movement and synchronization across on-premises and cloud-based applications and systems.
• Develop and utilize scripts (Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) to automate test data creation and maintenance processes.
• Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline by integrating automated data provisioning and validation workflows.
• Monitor and optimize data refresh processes to ensure availability and accuracy of test data across environments.
• Ensure data security and privacy through effective masking, obfuscation, and profiling techniques.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience
