VerticalApps is seeking a qualified Test Automation Engineer that is looking for an opportunity to broaden their technical experience by gaining high-demand robotic process automation (RPA) skills. The Engineer is part of highly creative and growing team that is focused on problem-solving and delivering measurable value. As an Agile team member, you’ll engage in the full delivery lifecycle to automate customer business processes and achieve desired outcomes. We’re seeking candidates with test automation experience to quickly become proficient in delivering automations (UiPath RPA is based on the .Net framework). The Engineer will collaborate with other VerticalApps team members to grow our Innovation Hub to help meet customer challenges. You’ll also be part of the team to shape and build our RPA-in-a-Box service offering. RESPONSIBILITIES Engage with process owners and contribute direct input or influence on all aspects of automations. Collaborate with the Agile team to evaluate the feasibility and value of automation opportunities. Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality and resilient RPA robots. Demonstrate RPA solutions to customers, support training, and provide operational support. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of automations and troubleshoot as needed. Develop prototypes to demonstrate creative ways of applying automation tools. Create and maintain technical documentation and best practices to support automations. Explore new technologies and techniques such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to keep pace with industry and improve automation delivery. Champion the use of Agile principles and practices to build a culture of trust, collaboration, continuous improvement, and predictable delivery within the team. QUALIFICATIONS US citizen Ability to meet federal contract requirements including suitability or security clearance Reside in the Washington DC metro area Bachelor’s degree minimum Minimum 3 years of practical test automation experience Preferred Experience: Agile delivery experience Federal government consulting experience Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Github source code management Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Understanding of software architecture and design Communicate effectively with customers and team members Adjust quickly to changing priorities and execute in a fast-paced environment Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrate a high-level of flexibility, creativity, and innovation Maintain a positive attitude while working under pressure Effective working with virtual teams
