Summary
The Test Automation Engineer is responsible for the construction and maintenance of new test setups, encompassing both hardware and software aspects. This role focuses on ensuring the functionality and efficiency of testing tools and systems while developing innovative solutions to streamline production processes.
Requirements
- Assist in the design, build, and configuration of new test setups for production.
- Maintain and ensure the continuous operation of testing tools and systems.
- Document configuration of each test setup and log the build procedure.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues through to resolution.
- Utilize automated testing tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis of test failures and work with the team to resolve issues.
- Develop creative solutions to improve and streamline production processes.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software and hardware testing.
- Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks such as Jenkins, Pytest, or similar.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively report findings and collaborate with team members.
Language Skills
- Experience with embedded systems and IoT devices.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
- Experience creating and operating test systems for high volume production.
