Role Summary

The Senior User Acceptance Testing Analyst is responsible for performing full range of activities to support the business acceptance testing, supporting business users, following project objectives and timelines, implementing all testing deliverables being test plan, test scripts, test reports, etc. The role will also include the development of UAT testing framework, building automation and processes, improvement of UAT processes and the development and maintenance of the testing library. The role requires strong financial industry background.

The Digital & Securities Markets Operational teams are based in London, providing the centralised function for the maintenance of key trading services and reference data databases. The London team spans the LSE (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives) and Turquoise venues (part of the London Stock Exchange Group) acting as a first point of contact for customers (both issuers and member firms). The teams co-ordinate the production and dissemination of communications to customers (e.g. Issuers) and key organisations including EUI, CCPs, UKLA and FTSE Russell. DSM Operations comprises of key functions – LSE Control, LSE Live Service, Operational Support, Turquoise Operations, LSE Corporate Actions, UAT and Regulatory Operations, and manages close operational relationships, internally and externally.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop testing programmes throughout the entire technologies’ lifecycles that address areas such as functionality, compatibility, reliability and usability
  • Organise, implement and lead all UAT related activities from start till the end
  • Plan and execute a wide range of quality control activities in alignment with the organisation's standards, UAT approach and strategy to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified business and customer needs
  • Gather testing requirements by evaluating the product requirement specifications and raise clarifications with product owners, business analysts and customers
  • Develop, execute and maintain UAT test scripts/cases autonomously– manual, automation, and supporting analysis. Assign required tests to Associates
  • Lead the ongoing maintenance of customer technologies, resolving issues and escalating where necessary
  • Recommend and support the implementation of improvements to quality control frameworks, processes and best practices
  • Build trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with the team
  • Communicate clearly with team and keep clear lines of communication open to ensure full understanding of tasks, asking questions where needed

YOU'LL BRING

  • Good knowledge in software quality assurance processes and methodologies
  • Understanding of software development life cycle and UAT processes in it
  • Good experience in manual and test automation testing
  • Good experience in the software development life cycle and one programming language, preferably in multi-tiered applications
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and correct mistakes and have a growth mindset
  • Strong problem solving and good analytical skills (defect analysis and reporting)
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
  • Critical thinking and ability to follow or suggest the right approach to testing activities
  • Understanding of Trading Systems would be advantageous
  • Experience in test automation beneficial
