POSITION SUMMARY:

The Territory Sales Manager will lead the strategic business development activity to include growing water tank sales, continuous improvement, technical support, and engaging our design/engineering team to develop systems for our water tank storage solutions. Territory will include AR, CO, IA, KS, LA, MN, MO, ND, NE, NM, OK, SD, and TX.


DUTIES:

  • Sales - The primary responsibility is to achieve and exceed sales and margin targets for the assigned territory. This includes building a strong sales funnel (to be tracked and maintained in the CRM), establishing and growing distribution network, and managing pricing and bidding opportunities.
  • Business Development - The position is responsible for generating new business opportunities (specifications), project conversions, gaining product approval with agencies and engineers. This includes daily calls with local engineering firms, design consultants, municipalities, developers, and regulators to generate new Xerxes water tank specifications. The successful candidate must have the ability to provide educational training to the engineering community through face to face calls, lunch and learns, and other promotional activities.
  • The position is responsible for participating in strategic planning. This includes the monitoring of market trends and competition to identify opportunities and threats. It also includes preparing and executing on a territory growth plan and participating in monthly sales forecasting.
  • Business Travel - The position is responsible for outside sales in a large geographic territory, which will require frequent overnight travel.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum College Education, Preferably Engineering University degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of previous related experience, preferably 5 to 7 years.
  • Strong experience in Sales or Engineering within related Engineered products.
  • Previous experience with Tanks, Pumps, Fire Protection, water/Wastewater or other related products - strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills
  • Proven sales record and solid technical background
  • Strategy and business planning skills
  • Expected US travel up to 50%
  • Expected Canada travel 1 – 2 times a year"
