About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Temporary CAD Designer/ Drafter. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in SolidWorks, with strong expertise in 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- 3-6 month temporary contract. Onsite 5 days per week in Monrovia, CA
- $40-$50/hr
- Minimum 7-10 years of professional experience as a CAD Designer or Drafter.
- Highly proficient in SolidWorks, with expertise in 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
- Skilled in implementing redline revisions efficiently and accurately.
- Strong understanding and application of ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Deep understanding and application of GD&T standards.
- Experience modifying Catia V5 drawings is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high-quality design standards.
- Familiar with Product Data Management (PDM) systems and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures.
- Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies and plastic part design is highly preferred.
- Strong experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal design, plastic injection molded parts, and complex assemblies.
- Familiarity with integrating electrical components, wiring, and PCB layouts into mechanical designs.
- Strong collaboration skills; ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and manufacturing.
