The College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) Student Support & Advising Services (SSAS) unit welcomes applications for a Temporary Academic Advisor! CEAS is committed to building collaborative, student-centered relationships that support the achievement of academic success, promote personal and professional development, and cultivate a sense of community. CEAS academic advisors educate the whole student through a developmental, student-focused approach. Advisors are charged with developing and implementing advising strategies and interventions to enhance the performance and persistence of students, along with contributing to the development of student learning outcomes and assessments.

Temporary academic advisors provide support for CEAS undergraduate students during advisor vacancies and/or in times of undergraduate enrollment growth. They may be called upon to manage an assigned caseload of undergraduate students; to provide individual appointments, drop-in hours, and email advising for students in their assigned major(s); and/or to provide other advising-related administrative and project support within the unit.
