Primary Purpose:
The role of the Senior Software Packaging and Deployment Engineer is to maintain and manage district computer software, applications, settings, and licenses required for deployment of software to devices and accounts.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Technical Schooling in computers and/or electronics
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of software installation and packaging systems
Experience:
5 Years of technical experience in a software maintenance role
Performance Responsibilities and Duties:
* Support board and administrative policies and decisions.
* Maintain professional work environment through a positive attitude, punctuality, regular attendance, phone etiquette, and personal appearance.
General
* Evaluate, Test, package and maintain software for automated delivery.
* Develop, configure, maintain and update Windows images applied to all Windows computers.
* Create and maintain operating system images.
* Evaluate software requests.
* Develop scripts to automate package and OS installation.
* Work with Network Infrastructure and Technical Support personnel to fine tune installations.
* Support and maintain the district software delivery software.
* Facilitate Apple device management, software deployment, application availability, license tracking, and updates.
* Assist with troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, technology support requests.
* Manage servers required for job responsibilities.
* Manage, configure, maintain and update Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
* Support district staff, students, parents and community members toward technology success.
Other
* Maintain confidentiality.
* Assist with department/district projects as assigned.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Network Infrastructure Manager and Chief Technology Officer/designee.
