What To Expect The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain safety, as well as reliable lab infrastructure through installation, preventive maintenance and repair of test equipment, workshop assets and facility utilities. The successful candidate for this position must have a broad background and a proven record of success in equipment maintenance/repair and facilities integration.
Interpersonal and communication skills are a requirement to establish effective working relationships within the test equipment and facilities teams, as well as the wider Tesla testing group. On top of this, close liaising with suppliers is vital so that technical support can be available as/when needed.

What You'll Do
Perform the installation and commissioning of smaller test equipment, workshop assets and facility infrastructure
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of test equipment, workshop assets and facility infrastructure including its organization
Establish and maintain a Preventative Maintenance Schedule of all test equipment, workshop assets and facility infrastructure.
Establish and maintain a spares parts inventory through raising of purchase orders with relevant suppliers
Interact with outside contractors and service personnel to manage equipment installation, commissioning or repair projects
Raise POs with suppliers, maintain blanket POs with local suppliers
Support Ad Hoc Work Request in support of Test and Engineering efforts as required
What You'll Bring
Technical (Trade School) Degree related to HVAC, refrigeration or other applicable equipment repair
Several years of repair/maintenance experience related to test or industrial equipment
Previous experience with repair/maintenance of test equipment preferred
Experience with refrigeration systems, ideally environmental chambers
Experience in pipe fitting and plumbing incl. use of appropriate tools
Experience with simple fabrication tasks (i.e. various brackets, Unistrut, etc.)
Valid EPA 608 certification (refrigerant) or European equivalent preferred
Valid NEN 3140 certifications (electrical installations) preferred
Experience in the setup and execution of preventative maintenance programs
Hands-on technical experience in diagnosing/troubleshooting equipment failures and their repair
Ability to operate and maintain a wide variety of diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools, shop tools and shop equipment
Experience with blueprints and schematics (electrical/refrigeration/hydraulic/pneumatic)
Experience with 5S or similar workplace organization methods
Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments, coping with rapidly changing information
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including Tesla department suppliers/contractors
Work in a team-based environment to achieve common goals
Organization skills with attention to detail
Experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Project), and Adobe products
Must have valid driver’s license
