Technician in Centre for Translational Stem Cell Biology (Ref.:CTSCB-250402), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related fields, along with at least a year of hands-on practical experience in molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, and sequencing library preparation). Previous experience with single-cell technologies is highly preferred.
Applicants should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate experimental records. They should also demonstrate good practice in the laboratory, excellent teamwork, and communication skills with a good command of both written and spoken English. Additionally, applicants must be capable of effectively contributing to a collaborative research environment. Being proactive and motivated to learn new technologies and methodologies, and having the ability to troubleshoot experimental issues and independently solve technical problems are highly valued.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our cutting-edge single-cell omics research and contributing to innovative method development. This includes conducting routine and advanced molecular biology experiments to generate high-quality single-cell sequencing data, as well as assisting in the design, optimization, and validation of novel omics methodologies and data analysis.
