Technical Writer

About the Role:

A growing technology company is looking for its first dedicated Technical Writer to bring clarity and consistency to software documentation. The engineering team has built a powerful suite of applications — now they need someone who can organize and standardize the product manuals, implementation guides, and internal documentation that support them. If you enjoy translating technical concepts into usable, user-friendly documents and thrive in environments where you can take initiative, this could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit, revise, and standardize existing engineering and product documentation.
• Create clear, consistent materials for new features and application functionality.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to gather accurate technical input.
• Establish formatting, structure, and content guidelines across documentation sets.
• Contribute to future tooling and process decisions related to documentation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience writing documentation for software or technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
• Ability to interpret and document technical concepts for varied audiences.
• Familiarity with any modern documentation tools (Confluence, MadCap, Word, Google Docs, etc.).
• Experience creating user-facing manuals, internal guides, or implementation docs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across teams.

Preferred Traits:

• Self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't wait for instructions.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with software developers, QA, and product owners.
• Interested in creating structure where there hasn’t been any yet.
