Summary

Our Defence client based in the Hague, Netherlands is looking for a Technical Document Writer to join their team. This is a 12 months contract initially with extensions.


Please note that this role is full onsite in the Hague and candidates need to hold valid UK SC or NATO clearance.


The Technical Document Writer and Editor is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.


Required Experience, Skills, and Education:

• 5-7 years of experience in technical writing and editing, preferably within the IT or telecommunications industry.

• Proven ability to create, edit, and maintain detailed technical documentation.

• Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare, or similar tools.

• Experience with content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (e.g., Git, SharePoint).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to gather and synthesize technical information from various sources.

• Experience in project management or coordination is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) can be a plus.

• Compliance and Standards:

• Knowledge of industry standards for technical documentation.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as needed.


Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain detailed documentation on the setup, configuration, and management of SDN solutions and VPC environments.

• Document best practices for network virtualization, including security measures, performance optimization, and fault tolerance.

• Develop comprehensive guides for deploying and managing VMware Horizon, including virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) setup, application virtualization, and end-user computing (EUC) solutions.

• Document troubleshooting procedures for common issues encountered with VMware Horizon deployments.

• Ensure all documentation complies with the required security policies and guidelines.

• Document procedures for maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including data protection and cybersecurity measures.
