Job Summary:
Provides expertise in the development, verification, publishing, distribution, and archival of technical documentation and training materials.
Essential Functions:
* Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
* Review and update existing documentation to reflect process improvements, product changes, and new technologies.
* Create and edit illustrations, diagrams, process flow charts, annotate visuals, and take photographs to help the target audience understand technical concepts.
* Provide training and guidance on documentation best practices to internal teams.
* Improve document usability through standardization and consistent terminology.
* Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, or Engineering.
* 3+ years writing/editing and managing technical writing projects professionally.
* 3+ years developing illustrations professionally.
* Experience with manufacturing processes (required).
* Experience with document and revision control systems (QMS), and content management tools e.g., MasterControl (required).
* Six sigma green belt certification or lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
