Provides expertise in the development, verification, publishing, distribution, and archival of technical documentation and training materials.
Essential Functions
Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and product specifications.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
Review and update existing documentation to reflect process improvements, product changes, and new technologies.
Create and edit illustrations, diagrams, process flow charts, annotate visuals, and take photographs to help the target audience understand technical concepts.
Provide training and guidance on documentation best practices to internal teams.
Improve document usability through standardization and consistent terminology.
Other duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, or Engineering.
3+ years writing/editing and managing technical writing projects professionally.
3+ years developing illustrations professionally.
Experience with manufacturing processes (required).
Experience with document and revision control systems (QMS), and content management tools e.g., MasterControl (required).
Six sigma green belt certification or lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
