Documentation Specialist

Duration: Long Term Ongoing Project with NO end Date

Direct banking Client

Hybrid - 2 Days a week in Winchester, VA // 3 days fully remote

A Tech Writer develops and maintains technical documentation, manuals, and guides, helping end-users and IT teams understand technical processes.

Required Skill Sets:

1. Strong writing and communication skills

2. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple language

3. Familiarity with technical documentation tools and platforms

Software Skills:

• Microsoft M365- Intermediate knowledge
• Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Asana
• SharePoint
• Adobe Premier Pro (Intermediate/Advanced)
• Adobe Firefly

Key Skills Needed:

• Writing expertise
• Technical (e.g., step/action procedures) and creative writing (MSR engagement) examples)
• Communicating with others
• Communicating at all levels and platforms
• Video Editing
• Time Management
• Adjusting priorities repeatedly to meet deadlines
• Should I attend this meeting or are meeting notes acceptable
• Critical thinking and quality decision making
• Adjusting priorities
• What content to put in the manual/what to not add
• Consider impact to the MSR/flow of the call
• Does this apply to CCO and BOD
• Is there any risk for dollar loss or increasing handle time
• Attention to detail
• Ability to negotiate deadlines and deliverables

Tasks to be completed

• Update QS eNet Landing page
• Reworking/cleaning up the manual
• Update all QS Manual pages to searchable manual pages
• Archiving old eNet pages
• Organizing the SharePoint document library
• Ensuring we have a clean and easy to use Document Library and all outdated documents are archived
• Updating all the forms in SharePoint to Nintex that haven’t been
• Enhancing/updating the QS Leave Calendar in SharePoint
