The Technical Writer is a key member of the knowledge management team, producing high quality technical documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. In this role, the Technical Writer works collaboratively with product managers, product marketing, and subject matter experts to obtain an in-depth understanding of our products and documentation requirements, analyze existing and potential content, create and maintain information architecture, and produce documentation that meets Mediaocean standards of excellence.
What You Will Do
- Organize and maintain content on the Mediaocean support site
- Create and revise documentation for new application versions
- Work collaboratively with product managers, product marketing, training, and support specialists to identify documentation needs, conduct information analysis, develop documentation plans, and produce clear, effective content
- Adhere to Mediaocean technical publications standards and style guidelines and ensure compliance with Mediaocean corporate quality and information security requirements
- Develop knowledge of Mediaocean software and tools used for the job
- Support other team members as peer editor andproofreader
- Manage documentation projects and libraries, switching focus between projects as required to manage priorities
Who You Are
- 3+ years of professional technical writing experience
- Ability to learn complex software systems quickly and write clear, concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to think analytically and conceptually, perform audience and content analysis, and understand the basics of structuring information

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $70,000 - $93,000; commensurate with experience.
Ability to commute to our NYC or Chicago offices on a hybrid basis strongly preferred.
