At Mazda Australia, we’re looking for an energetic and skilled Technical Trainer to join our Learning and Development team. This role is your chance to drive excellence within our dealer network by delivering high-quality technical training programs and supporting the next generation of Mazda technicians.


This position requires a full-time, in-office presence five days a week, involving interstate travel to cover training , fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and coordinate technical, new model, and Master’s training programs.
  • Create and update training materials, ensuring content is accurate and compliant.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and address training needs.
  • Schedule training events and maintain training resources, including vehicles and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S standards during training delivery.
  • Support and coordinate skills competitions and training promotions.
  • Track training outcomes and maintain accurate records of participants and performance.


About you:

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, creative, and genuinely excited about shaping world-class customer experiences. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical (Light Vehicle Technology) and preferably a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred not essential)
  • At least 5 years of industry experience (Mazda experience preferred).
  • Your sound technical knowledge, including electrical systems and diagnostics, will be matched by your exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities, autonomy, and a results-driven approach, you’ll also have a high proficiency in Microsoft Office and course development methodologies.
  • A willingness to travel interstate as part of the role is essential to be successful in the role.
