Key Responsibilities Include

Project/Customer Engagement

  • Target new and existing customers to build a strong network of industry contacts and actively promote and sell the full range of Rock Reinforcement, Injection and Ground Control support products.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate understanding of technical requirements through early engagement, in-depth meetings and technical sessions with scheme operators, contractors and designers
  • Distil Support requirements and investigate with the broader Normet team, and perhaps our industry partners, how we can provide class leading solutions
  • Be responsible and proactive with a hands-on approach on site with testing and demonstrating solutions
  • Be actively engaged with the technical team to provide feedback and develop cutting edge technical solutions and be integral to raising the global technical competence of the company. Assist with day-to-day operations – Warehousing, R&D and tool maintenance
  • Ensure continuous sales with existing customers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction
  • Support the group’s improved HSEQ initiatives
  • National, overseas and continental travel from time to time for training and project activities

Marketing and Brand Promotion

  • Meet with and conduct presentations/lunch and learn sessions to site engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to educate about Normet’s offerings.
  • Provide training sessions for both internal teams and external customer groups
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
  • Be responsible for any marketing campaigns to strengthen the Normet brand in this sector
  • Experience with Ground Control Products (Rock Bolts, Cables, etc) and Injection products (Consolidation, Water Management, Fill),
  • Knowledge of concrete, shotcrete and/or other cementitious materials is an assetExperience with detailed report writing
  • Higher technical education level such as civil engineering or mining degree BSc/BEng etc.
  • Based in Sudbury area

Compliance & Authority

Employees have a responsibility to:

  • Comply with Normet safety policies, procedures, and work practices. Ensure contractors and visitors are informed of all necessary safety instructions and information when on Normet premises.
  • Must wear the specific PPE clothing and items relevant to the task undertaken.
  • Must read and understand all relevant SOP’s pertaining to any equipment/machinery/vehicles.
  • Must report all safety issues and or emergencies in the workplace.

Skills & Competencies

  • An elevated level of responsiveness, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail orientation, financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and oral and written communication skills in English (proficiency in French, Spanish or Portuguese would be an advantage).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Flexible and versatile

Qualifications And Experience

  • Experience with Ground Control Products (Rock Bolts, Cables, etc) and Injection products (Consolidation, Water Management, Fill)
  • Knowledge of concrete, shotcrete and/or other cementitious materials is an asset
  • Experience with detailed report writing
  • Recent graduate of higher technical education level such as civil engineering or mining degree BSc/BEng etc.
  • Based in Sudbury area
