Job Summary
Opportunity available for a Performance Support Engineer focused on enhancing the platform through troubleshooting, optimizing database performance, and improving code efficiency. Candidates will engage in in-depth analysis using tools like BigData, Splunk, and Grafana to ensure optimal platform performance and collaborate closely with various internal teams to address and resolve complex performance issues. This role offers the chance to become a pivotal escalation point within our technical support team, requiring a blend of strong technical expertise and exceptional customer-facing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Remediate outages and enhance performance on the platform.
- Optimize database performance, including tuning, indexing, and data maintenance.
- Review and improve JavaScript and Java application code for performance.
- Work closely with Development, Infrastructure, Networking, and Hardware teams to reproduce and solve performance issues.
- Serve as the last point of escalation within the technical support team for performance and availability issues.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong commitment to quality and customer service.
- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
- Experience in scripting languages, preferably JavaScript.
