Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and ITIL practices. The ideal candidate will manage, support, and enhance IT asset processes while providing technical assistance to ensure smooth IT operations. You will collaborate across departments to optimize asset utilization and maintain service excellence.


Key Responsibilities:IT Asset Management (ITAM):

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, licenses, and other IT assets.
  • Implement asset tracking tools and processes for lifecycle management from procurement to disposal.
  • Monitor compliance with software licensing agreements and ensure effective utilization of IT resources.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure asset data accuracy and adherence to company policies.
  • Generate reports and insights on asset utilization, procurement trends, and cost-saving opportunities.


Technical Support:

  • Provide Level 1/2 technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address complex technical challenges.
  • Document and track issues, resolutions, and process improvements in IT service management systems.


ITIL Practices:

  • Apply ITIL frameworks for incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Identify and implement service improvement initiatives based on ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with IT service management policies and procedures.


Collaboration & Communication:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline IT operations and enhance user experience.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders for effective issue resolution.
  • Provide training and guidance on IT asset management processes and ITIL best practices to internal teams.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT Asset Management and ITIL-based service management.
  • Familiarity with ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Flexera, or similar) and asset lifecycle management processes.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and frameworks; ITIL certification preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) platforms like ServiceNow or Jira Service Desk.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation Certification (v3 or v4) or equivalent.
  • Experience with license management, vendor relations, and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud asset management and SaaS applications.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance standards related to IT assets.
