Summary

Role Overview: A global engineering consultancy firm is seeking for an experienced Senior Project Managers or Associate Directors with a strong background in hotel building construction to join their team in Japan. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in managing hotel development projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Lead and manage hotel development projects, overseeing all phases from planning and design to construction and handover.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that align with their objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial targets.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all projects meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and suppliers, to ensure effective communication and project progress.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on hotel building construction.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hotel construction processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Language: Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
