We are looking for a seasoned and visionary Principal Hybrid Cloud Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of sophisticated hybrid cloud solutions, with a strong focus on meeting security and compliance standards, particularly within the context of the Singapore Government's commercial cloud adoption.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive technical expertise across multiple cloud platforms, a proven history of architecting secure, scalable hybrid environments, and a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and security requirements relevant to the Singapore Government. As a Principal Architect, you will provide technical leadership, strategic direction, and mentorship, driving innovation and ensuring the successful implementation of high-quality cloud solutions.

• Lead the design and deployment of secure, scalable hybrid cloud solutions, focusing on Singapore Government agencies utilizing commercial cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba Cloud).

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Singapore Government cloud adoption policies, security standards (e.g., IM8), and compliance requirements.

• Architect and implement comprehensive cloud security measures, including identity and access management, data protection, network security, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring.

• Design hybrid architectures that effectively integrate on-premises infrastructure with public cloud services, ensuring seamless interoperability, high performance, and cost efficiency.

• Provide expert advice on cloud security best practices to ensure alignment with industry standards and government regulations.

• Partner with sales and business development teams to define technical solutions, contribute to proposals, and present to government clients and stakeholders.

• Facilitate technical workshops and discussions with clients to gather requirements and propose tailored solutions.

• Create detailed architectural blueprints, design specifications, and implementation guidelines.

• Evaluate, recommend, and integrate cloud technologies and services that align with business needs and compliance requirements.

• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to architects and engineering teams.

• Oversee solution implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex technical challenges during deployment and operations.

• Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, cybersecurity trends, and regulatory changes impacting Singapore's cloud landscape.

• Contribute to the development of internal cloud frameworks, security policies, and best practices.

• Represent the organization at industry events and support thought leadership initiatives.

• Lead research initiatives into emerging cloud technologies to keep the organization at the forefront of innovation.

• Drive adoption of cutting-edge cloud infrastructure improvements and services.

• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies for cloud environments.

• Ensure effective backup and recovery mechanisms are in place to safeguard critical data and applications.

• Monitor and manage cloud expenditure, implementing strategies for cost optimization and resource efficiency.

• Establish frameworks for monitoring cloud performance, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  

Qualifications:

• 10-12 years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5-7 years dedicated to architecting and implementing cloud solutions.

• Extensive, proven experience working with Singapore Government agencies on their commercial cloud adoption initiatives.
• Deep expertise in cloud security technologies and best practices, including identity management, encryption, network security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, IM8).
• Strong hands-on proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP), spanning IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.
• Demonstrated success designing and implementing hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises and cloud environments.
• Excellent understanding of networking principles such as VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and network segmentation in cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud-specific security tools (e.g., SIEM solutions, vulnerability scanning, IDS/IPS systems).
• Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates).
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
