The team for you to join
- We are looking for our Technical Services Manager for Animal Biosolutions to support our branding efforts and value offer into the region through our sales force and business partners.
- You will support the full geography of LATAM and manage a team, initially consisting of Technical Specialists for all species (Silage, Poultry, Swine, Cattle and Pet). The role reports directly to Head of Technical Services Planetary Health Biosolutions LATAM.
What would your role look like?
- Manage the Technical Service Animal Biosolutions team in the region.
- Supports sales team in growing and maintaining business. Understands and supports selling process.
- Position our Animal Biosolutions to consulting nutritionists, veterinarians, and feed companies to increase recommendations of branded products. Maintains an active contacts with nutritionists, consultants, veterinarians, academic thought leaders, and other key industry opinion leaders.
- Lead development and implementation of protocols and monitors Novonesis Animal Biosolutions research studies at university or contract research partners.
- Manage regional trials since design, approval, execution, conclusion and publish data.
- Jointly with regional sales and marketing teams, develop, execute, and monitor the Animal Biosolutions LATAM strategy and plan and support the Novonesis brand and the individual segment strategies including services, campaigns, trainings and technical communication.
- Assists in development and review of technical and sales materials.
- Participate in professional trade associations and committees related to the Animal Biosolutions industry.
- Actively engage with Novonesis global teams on industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to expand and/or enhance our brand portfolio and recognition.
- Manage development and launch of new products, tools & services.
- Manage that the scientific level, quality, timeliness and reporting of solutions delivered within the industries and sales areas meet or exceed expectations on customer demands, interactions, scientific materials and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure strong industry connection and solidify status as Trusted Advisor.
- Promote and ensure execution of solution & regional innovation and portfolio synergies to address regional challenges, enhance global competitiveness, and achieve inclusive, sustainable growth.
- Ensure safety requirements and work conditions to the team and be role model.
- Manage optimal use of available resources, considering, account plans, opportunities, MWB, game plan, launches, etc. in a partnership with regional Sales and Marketing.
- Prepares reports as required including objectives, meeting summaries, and expenses.
- Operates in a professional manner and supports the vision and values of the company.
Who are we looking for?
- Advanced degree in Veterinary Sciences, Animal Science, or related fields such as Agriculture, Biology, Biotechnology or Zoology (PhD preferred).
- Min. of 5 years in previous roles in animal feed companies, veterinary pharmaceutical firms, or research institutions.
- Experience in Animal production, feed formulation, feed additives, and nutritional strategies to optimize animal performance.
- Desirable experience with silage inoculants and/or ruminant feed additives at farm and distribution levels.
- Advanced English and upper Intermediate Spanish.
- Academic skills and experience to publish papers or articles in scientific magazines are desirable.
- Management experience: to manage expenses budget, team and distributors.
- Team player who fosters teamwork, inclusion, adaptability, and transparency across a multi-cultural organization with a sense of urgency and understanding of how to deliver full value to customers.
- People leader, who inspires, motivates, and challenges the team/ team members, which fosters a constructive feedback culture.
- Energetic Proactive driver who through example sets ambitious targets, are well-organized and can communicate effectively both internally as well as externally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of working time.
