Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master with 8-10 years of experience in Agile project management within a technical environment. This role requires a skilled facilitator who can lead Scrum teams effectively, manage project delivery timelines, and drive Agile best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical insight with leadership abilities to bridge the gap between development, product, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
Scrum Leadership: Facilitate key Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure Scrum practices are adhered to and continuously improved.
Team Collaboration: Act as a servant leader, promoting team cohesion, effective communication, and collaboration.
Project Delivery: Guide the team to ensure timely and high-quality delivery, removing obstacles that may impede progress.
Technical Support: Provide guidance to development teams, understanding technical challenges, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project status, timelines, and any challenges faced by the team.
Backlog Refinement: Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize and refine the product backlog, aligning team efforts with project goals.
Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on team metrics such as velocity and burn-down rates to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential project risks and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 8-10+ years in Agile environments with at least 4 years as a Scrum Master, preferably within technical or software development teams.
Scrum Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or similar Agile certifications.
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of software development processes and Agile methodologies. Ability to engage in discussions about technical challenges and solutions.
Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify issues, resolve conflicts, and promote continuous improvement within the team.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing team dynamics and stakeholder expectations.
Tools: Proficient in Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Technical Background: Prior experience in a technical role (e.g., developer, QA, or systems engineer) is highly valued.
Additional Certifications: Agile Coach, Certified Agile Project Manager (PMI-ACP), or related qualifications.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in specific sectors such as Fintech, Healthcare, or other tech-intensive industries is a plus.
