We have an exciting opportunity available within our Engineering Services Team as Technical Records Assistant / Administrator, to support the McDermott Aviation Queensland fleet.
We are seeking a ‘can do’ and down to earth individual to join our team. As a Technical Records Assistant, you will have a strong ability to focus on detail and procedures supported by excellent communication and prioritisation skills.
The ability to work autonomously and within a small team is essential.
Primary Role & Responsibility
- Collect and maintain technical records for the Engineering services team, such as aircraft records, aircraft logbooks and component history cards
- Process data into the Aircraft Maintenance System (Aeronet)
- Ensure aircraft maintenance is completed and an audit schedule has been maintained for logbook records, technical records and aircraft subscriptions
- Report complex issues that may hinder completion of component changes or compliance
- Identify and communicate any hazards or health and safety issues within the workplace
- Ensure all safety and regulatory compliance targets are achieved
- Provide support to Engineering and Maintenance team
- Ad hoc duties as required
- Complete site inductions for new staff
- Assist with any IT queries / issues that arise
- Provide effective administrative support to the team leader
- Prepare various documents
- Undertake general administration tasks to ensure the effective operations of the department
Personal Qualities
- Timely and accurate data entry skills
- Aptitude for maths
- Ability to problem solve and multi task
- Self-motivation in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Good understanding and knowledge of the Microsoft suite, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Experience with aviation maintenance tracking programs (Aeronet – desirable however training will be provided)
- Well-developed capacity to manage the competing demands of a busy environment, work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail
The successful applicant will be provided with industry specific ‘on-the-job training’.
