Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Location: Portland, OR(Hybrid)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee projects for our client in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, stakeholder coordination, and utility industry experience. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive project success while ensuring alignment with Clients’s objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with client objectives.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between Client, internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
  • Budget & Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure financial accountability.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, generate reports, and present progress updates to key stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Drive efficiency by implementing best practices and process improvements for project execution.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and motivation to crossfunctional teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the energy/utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding of Client processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and environmental considerations in utility projects.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electric/gas infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with California regulatory and utility standards.
  • Strong problemsolving and negotiation skills.
