Who We Are St Johns Episcopal Hospital is the only hospital providing emergency and ambulatory care to the densely populated culturally and economically diverse and medically underserved populations of the Rockaways and Five Towns in southern Queens County and southwestern Nassau County New York Celebrating over 110 years of community care the 257 bed facility provides people of all faiths with comprehensive preventive diagnostic treatment and rehabilitative services regardless of ability to pay Come Grow With Us Type Full Time 75 hours biweekly Shift Days Pay 105000 115000 per year Job Summary We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive Technical Project Manager TPM with a strong background in healthcare IT to oversee and deliver complex technology projects that support essential healthcare operations and digital transformation initiatives This role requires a combination of project management expertise technical proficiency and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems compliance standards eg HIPAA and interoperability challenges As a TPM you will bridge the gap between clinical needs and technical capabilities serving as a central point of coordination among internal technology teams engineers data analysts healthcare professionals vendors and compliance teams As a key driver of project success you will lead strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient care enhancing data interoperability streamlining provider workflows and ensuring regulatory compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA HITECH and CMS guidelines The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of healthcare IT infrastructure data governance and security frameworks as well as a proven track record of managing projects from initiation through deployment We are looking for a hands on problem solver an excellent communicator and a proactive leader who thrives in a mission driven fast paced and highly collaborative environment while possessing a deep understanding of healthcare systems compliance standards and interoperability challenges Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders including clinical teams developers IT vendors and regulatory bodies to define project scopes goals and deliverablesDevelop and maintain detailed project plans timelines and risk mitigation strategiesOversee technical teams to ensure quality deliverables aligned with business goals and healthcare compliance requirementsMonitor and report on project status performance metrics and potential issues to leadership and stakeholdersEnsure adherence to industry standards including HIPAA HITECH and other relevant healthcare regulationsManage vendor relationships and third party integrations including HL7 FHIR and other data interoperability standardsRequirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Healthcare Informatics or a related field Masters degree or PMP certification preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in project management with at least 3 years in healthcare or health techProven ability to lead cross functional teams and manage complex technical projectsStrong understanding of healthcare systems standards HL7 and compliance frameworks HIPAA HITRUSTExperience with project management tool RocketLane MS Project etcExcellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills
