Summary

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager for a contract position with a client based in Charlotte, NC (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will lead and manage complex technology initiatives across multiple business lines, utilizing SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall) to plan, coordinate, and execute key project deliverables.


Rate Range: $58 to $62 per hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead large-scale programs and projects with cross-functional teams across business and tech.
  • Work on program governance and controls, both vertically across leadership and horizontally across departments.
  • Provide accurate, transparent status reporting through dashboards, meetings, and written updates.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Audit, Risk, Technology, and Line of Business teams — including senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Manage project health, timelines, and compliance in a matrix environment.
  • Align delivery to strategic business outcomes, coordinating across business, tech, Risk, and Compliance.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring due diligence and financial management routines are executed to meet financial commitments.
  • Ensure clear, concise communication with all levels of the organization, including project status, issues, risks, critical path activities, and resources.
  • Work with impacted teams to ensure smooth design, development, testing, and deployment processes, and align timelines with broader release schedules.
  • Ensure deliverables adhere to Enterprise Project Standards for planning, execution, and controls, while meeting audit requirements.
  • Drive teams to meet commitments and deliver quality technology solutions on time and within budget.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7 years of experience in Program/Project Management within the financial services sector, managing technology projects using SDLC methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall).
  • Proven success as a bridge between technology and business stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Audit, PMO Governance, Risk, and Controls.
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and comfort with large data sets and trend reporting.
  • Previous Financial Services experience leading large-scale technology changes and initiatives.
