Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office 1 - 2 days per week). Ideal candidates will live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of our Pulse Point location in Indianapolis, IN, Wallingford, CT, Wilmington, DE, Atlanta, GA, Louisville, KY, Woburn, MA, Mason, OH, Nashville, TN, or Richmond, VA.
The Technical Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of enterprise technology-driven programs, ensuring they align with strategic objectives. Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, management of resources, and facilitation of communication between stakeholders to achieve successful program outcomes. Additionally, the Technical Program Manager will identify and mitigate risks, adapting to changes while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
How you will make an impact:
* Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budget, and timeline.
* Resource Management: Allocate, manage, and optimize resources, including personnel, technology, and materials, to ensure project needs are met efficiently.
* Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes.
* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring spending remains within approved limits and looking for cost-saving opportunities when possible.
* Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet required quality standards and comply with industry regulations and company policies.
* Change Management: Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
* Performance Monitoring: Track project progress against the plan, using performance metrics and project management software to identify and resolve issues proactively.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed project documentation and prepare reports for management and stakeholders, reflecting status, progress, and outcomes.
* Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve conflicts within the project team or with stakeholders to maintain focus and workflow.
* Project Closure: Conduct post-project evaluations to assess achievements and areas for improvement, ensuring all deliverables are completed and approved, and all knowledge is transferred to necessary parties.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about and implement project management best practices and new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 10 years project management experience in broad-based information systems, full life-cycle application development and/or building enterprise applications and/or data warehouse planning and development with 3 years leading and directing project task(s); or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
* Experience in creating an effective team environment, building strong relationships, negotiation, solving problems and issues, resolving conflicts, managing resources in a matrix environment and communicating effectively at all levels of an organization strongly preferred.
* Experience working with project management tools, documentation tools, and reporting tools strongly preferred.
* Working with portfolio management applications and rational tools strongly preferred.
