Summary

hackajob is collaborating with Comcast to connect them with exceptional tech professionals for this role.

Are you looking to have an impact on a large technology organization and the work of thousands of developers? If you are driven and passionate about reducing cognitive load and toil for developers, then Developer Experience (DevX) Organization is the place for you!

Comcast’s DevX organization creates an extensible ecosystem of solutions, evolving based on deep partnerships, that empower Comcast’s Engineering community to do more of what they love and feel deeply connected to their impactful work.

DevX believes we can make developers happier, more focused, and more innovative. We do this by providing tools and automated processes that reduce the impact non-functional requirements have on our developer’s lives.

As a Technical Program Manager, on our Comcast Open Source Program Office team, you will support the planning, execution, and scaling of open source initiatives across the Comcast global footprint. You will support the OSPO leadership in helping to transform our open source vision. This role requires an engineering background, a bias for action and program management skills.

On our team, everyone has an opportunity to lead; your communication and collaboration skills are just as important—if not more important—than your technical skills.

About The Team

The Comcast OSPO (Open Source Program Office) empowers our engineers to consume and contribute to OSS, while also complying with the proper guidelines and licenses. Our Open Source Program Office is not only enabling compliant and strategic open source usage, but also actively building vibrant engineering communities.

The Comcast Open Source Program Office values transparency, accountability and collaboration. You will have the chance to work with a values-driven leader focused on building something meaningful—with you as a true partner.

Our Values

  • Pathway to Yes
  • We value usable and working solutions now, without compromising quality over a perfect solution later.
  • We start from the assumption that someone, somewhere has already figured out a solution to this problem; we value using their results over rediscovering them ourselves.
  • We actively collaborate with our customers; we win when our customers win.
  • Culture of Curiosity
  • We adopt a collaborative growth mindset and learn together along the way.
  • We recognize that the best idea can come from anyone, and that effective leaders create ways to solicit and consider these ideas.
  • We value making decisions with research and reason, with an open mind to experiment.
  • Lead with Purpose
  • While exploring diverse ideas, we value being able to pursue a plan together over everyone agreeing that the plan is the best one
  • We are all leaders; we value individual responsibility over micromanagement.
  • As members of DevX, we align to a set of outcomes over fighting turf wars; we get ahead by working together.
  • Team Spirit
  • We value attitude over aptitude; no {genius} jerks allowed.
  • We value actively and humbly seeking and appreciating honest feedback over preserving our egos.
  • We value building teams with individuals from various backgrounds and experiences; there is no typical DevX-er.
